HewTech Electronics LLC has developed a controller to detect the phase-change from vapor to liquid for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) filling stations.

LNG-CONT.jpg (18906 bytes)The Model RTS-100 control monitors a sensor positioned in the fill line, monitoring the flow of LNG.  It provides a visual indicator and a relay change when liquid is detected.  The relay transition sends a signal to the main fill controller, indicating Liquid has reached the sensor.  The FILL solenoid is opened & the VENT solenoid is closed, and fuel is then routed to the vehicle fuel-tank through the FILL nozzle.

The sensor is made from 1/8" diameter 304 Stainless Steel tube & Teflon cable provides immunity to the harsh environments.  The control is contained within an IP54/65 (NEMA4/5 Dust & moisture proof) enclosure with a sealed tinted cover.   This allows visual indication of the status LED's at the control location.  A 10-amp relay is provided.

Calibration is a one-time operation and no special instruments are required.  Only a small screwdriver is necessary for adjustment while monitoring the STATUS LED's.  No more matching specialized sensors to instruments.

Power is 120VAC @ 3-watts, transformer isolated.  The control provides transformer coupled, low-voltage DC power to the sensor.   Sensors are available for custom lengths & special mounting configuration.
