DESIGN BACKGROUND: The SRX FIREPLUG CDI is a High-Performance CDI for your Vintage Yamaha SRX. The FIREPLUG CDI provides a higher energy output, that outperforms the stock CDI significantly. This translates to quicker starting, better throttle response, stronger pull & cleaner burning with higher performance SRX engines. The FIREPLUG CDI mounts in the original location and connects directly to your factory harness.

PERFORMANCE: We received POSITIVE feedback from Leon Koch, owner of Koch Performance from his grass-drag testing of our FIREPLUG CDI prototype! The owner/driver of the 77 SRX (JASON REMIEKER) noticed a significant stronger mid-range pull with the FIREPLUG CDI through the run, compared to the stock 77-SRX CDI. Leon has been preparing and winning races with the Yamaha SRX since it's introduction.

The FIREPLUG CDI is manufactured using the best industrial-grade components available. The FIREPLUG is not a high-volume / mass-produced imported device. Every CDI unit is manufactured at HewTech Electronics in Michigan, tested and shipped directly to you. It doesn't exist until an order is received. Ask anybody currently running our FIREPLUG CDI ignition units.
