This is a few of the www.CDIBOX.com
website Eagle-River TEAM drivers.
(Left to right) Scott Hewelt (5th 340MOD Fan 1-cyl), Brian Gooding
(2nd-440 SPORT) & Kurt Andrews (4th-800 MOD). Here
the list of the CDIBOX.com TEAM
Kurt
Andrews posing next to his 295 & 650 Starfires (both 73's).

Here's Kevin Bobnick, (Alouette) staging for one of the
340440 MOD events. Kevin was one of the
www.cdibox.com team drivers, running a
Polarfire replacement FIREPLUG CDI on his pristine Alouette Supers.
Kurt Andrews making sure nobody gets too close a look at his reed
valve 295 Polaris engine.

Kurt Andrew's 295 Polaris, prior to an air-leak slowing the
engine for the day.
Getting the 295 off the track after the heat. You can see Charlie Vance
(left) having problems with his 292 T-Jet, after losing power in the race.
Days later, Charlie told us he lost a piston ring....really, he never found
it! Looking into the crowds, I thought for sure I spotted Waldo among the
colors of coats & jerseys.
Elizabeth Andrews awaits the Womens final, with Kurt standing near by.
Elizabeth was able to finish is 5th place, despite handling problems with
ultra-fast MOD Yam.

the Womens Final. Linda placed 4th in the Womens final.

class. Kurt Andrews hand-signaling Brian's position from the sidelines
Brian Gooding & Steff Gooding talk over Brian's 1st place heat win with

finish in the Final. www.cdibox.com

A view of the paddock, with many of the sleds from the weekend.
Here's a nice pic of Danny DeLisle's SR292. Check out the blue Gator-Aid
jug...could that be what Danny used for super-trick slide-lube? www.cdibox.com

Kurt Andrews carries the speed high on his 650 Starfire, while Bill Stull runs
the mid-line. Kurt passed Bill into turn 3 on the outside, but got into
some loose ice. Bill ducked low & stayed ahead. Kurt finished
4th & Bill 3rd in the 800 class
Dave Ruder carries the checkered flag in, after his convincing win in the 250
class. Dave was the unfortunate victim of a few studs that were a hair too
long. Although there were only a few found, Tech bounced Dave's 250 from the
victory. Dave lead the 340 final until fuel problems bogged the
engine, allowing the field to pass. Dave kept it running & made it
back to 3rd in the 340 liquid class. www.cdibox.com

Here's the start of the 340MOD-FAN Single Cyl class. That's (me) Scott
Hewelt on the outside with the white/purple Yam. Kurt Andrews did a great
job of preparing the sled & engine, but short-ski handling problems plagued
the sled throughout Saturday. Despite the handling issues, we were able to
get the sled into the semi & final, posting a 5th place finish on Sunday,
thanks to Mark Lehman's generosity with a pair of ski's from his Arctic-Cat.

Here's
Paul Socwell, doing some fancy driving, on his way to 2nd place in the 340 Sno-Pro class.
Paul had engine problems all weekend, but was able to put together 3 fast laps
& post a 2nd & 3rd place! www.cdibox.com team driver

A
Polaris has a mechanical failure with the steering while heading into turn
2. Once the sled started going straight, you could see the driver knew
exactly what happened. Both hit the haybales (photo compliments of Paul

The
driver did a great job of clearing himself from the sled before impact, and
walked away unhurt.
