4/15/2006: After a totally NEW approach, HewTech Electronics LLC has redesigned the 1972~1975 Harley Davidson Snowmobile FIREPLUG CDI box.  

This particular CDI replacement has not been available, leaving many Harley owners without a source.  We have taken many telephone calls & e-mails requesting the availability of this CDI.  There has been companies that offer to "rebuild" the existing CDI to factory specifications for a price near $300.  The disadvantages is you receive another CDI that is prone to failure, just as the original factory unit soon failed.  

Our completely NEW FIREPLUG design mounts in the factory location & maintains the same bulletproof technology & reliability that deserves to be called FIREPLUG.   Because this design is not a factory copy, rather a new design based on the already proven FIREPLUG technology, we can offer the standard FIREPLUG 5-year warranty (see below).  Our new design also follows the original factory timing "curve".  There are also a few additional advantages with the FIREPLUG design, but this is proprietary....the secret to having the FIREPLUG advantage! 

NOTE: The rubber connector PLUG is not available, we will need your existing PLUG core with a few inches of wire attached. This will be re-connected to the new FIREPLUG CDI to allow connection to your factory harness.  Without this plug, the only other option is to splice the existing wires into your existing harness.  New FIREPLUG CDI unit is supplied with mounting hardware.  E-mail or call for our return shipping address
